From the authors: The National Latino Leadership Alliance first initiative to conduct a national survey of Latino leadership programs. The survey identified 90 program, these programs serve less than one percent of the Latino population. Furthermore, the survey identified gaps in geographic areas, including entire states and large cities withan increasing Latino population and no existing leadership programs. These findings validate the critical need for a concerted effort to promote Latino leadership programs and create and implement new programs, across the country.
