Mission Statement

WIN empowers families with young children to build resilience and thrive by strengthening relationships within families and communities.

Organization Description

WIN is focused on promoting safe, stable, nurturing relationships to break cycles of intergenerational trauma and prevent toxic stress. Our award-winning model of prevention and early intervention – in-home caregiver-child psychotherapy paired with case management and focused on outcomes – forms the basis for our relationship-based care.
WIN’s first innovation was to address intergenerational trauma with a model of caregiver-child psychotherapy, paired with case management, and provided in families’ homes. In addition to the insights from connecting with families where they live, bringing services to them addresses two barriers: stigma around coming to a clinic for mental health services and the burden of transportation. We do the extra work to make it easier for families.
In the last several years, WIN has added groups for parents and caregivers to share with and learn from peers, spaces for parents to play and connect with their children, and groups that address trauma and strengthen the relationships. These services support the same goals as our therapy and case management, but indifferent ways. Families who may not be ready for or don’t need therapy, can find the support that’s right for them.
WIN also functions as the hub of a network of early childhood practitioners to share resources, training, and best practices to learn and grow – improving the quality of services for WIN, partners, and other providers in the community.
